Summary

The present artists’ book documents the work and the 2017 Oberrheinischer Kunstpreis. Together with Peter Vogel, the exhibition’s curator Bernhard Serexhe developed the concept for the book and the exhibition in early 2017. His study of the work and an essay by the cultural scholar Klaus Theweleit offer profound insights into an important body of work that has now come full circle.

Author Biography

Bernhard Serexhe lives and works in Karlsruhe. Klaus Theweleit lives in Freiburg and works as an author whose publications are internationally recognized by a broad audience. Peter Vogel was a pioneer of electronic object sound art. With his interactive sound and light objects, ‘chirping machines’, large-scale electronic orchestras, sound and dance performances, Peter Vogel was seen in the international art scene as one of the outstanding innovators in the field of electronic sound art.
