Author Biography

Jane Y. Wu MD, PhD, is the Charles Louis Mix Professor in
Neurology at Lurie Cancer Center and the Center for Genetic Medicine of Northwestern University in Chicago, USA. After having gained her doctorate from Stanford University, she carried out postdoctoral training at Harvard University, and has since been researching the molecular mechanisms underlying pre-mRNA splicing as well as neural development and degeneration, both of which link basic biology to human diseases.
