After a long winter’s hibernation, Bruno the marmot wakes up to discover the most beautiful dandelion outside his burrow. The two quickly become friends and when the dandelion asks Bruno to help her, he has to trust her that everything will be fine. So, as she asks, he blows her seeds away into the wind, only to find that he’s left without a friend anymore. He’s sad at the loss of his dandelion, but after another winter’s sleep, he wakes to find a wonderful surprise. This is an endearing book that shows the power of a promise.

Author Biography

KNISTER is the stage name of Ludger Jochmann, who was born in 1952 in Bottrop, Germany. He is a musician, actor and author, with a strong commitment to special education and children’s theater. Knister has written more than 40 books since 1980, which have been translated into over 30 languages. Eve Tharlet studied art in Strasbourg, and is the illustrator of the Mr. Badger and Mrs. Fox books, Sharing Christmas, and Will You Still Love Me, If . . . ? and Here She Is! from minedition.
