His previous books for Cadogan include From the Opening into the Endgame and Practical Opening Tips. Dr Colin Crouch is an International Master and an experienced an erudite writer on chess. His previous book for Everyman ¿Queens Gambit Declined: 5 Bf4!¿ has been highly acclaimed for its thoroughness and originality, with one reviewer describing it as ¿the opening book of the year¿ He also wrote Rate Your Endgame in 1992
