Author Biography

Verna B. Carleton, the child of an English mother and a father of German descent, was born in New Hampshire and married in Mexico with Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera as witnesses. During World War II, she formed part of artistic circles there made up of German exiles. She wrote articles for the Saturday Evening Post and The New Yorker
