Author Biography

Dr Jen Green is an acclaimed writer and editor of nonfiction books for children and adults with well over 300 titles in print. Her books cover subjects such as dinosaurs, natural history, geography, the environment, history, and a number of other topics. She received a doctorate from the University of Sussex (Dept. of English and American Studies) in 1982. Having worked in publishing for 15 years she is now a full-time writer living in Sussex in the UK. Her publishers include: Dorling Kindersley, Watts, Wayland, Quarto, National Geographic, Harcourt / Raintree, Grolier, and Lorenz.

Shaw Nielsen is a pretty snazzy illustrator with a knack for coming up with quirky solutions. He started off studying in San Francisco at the Academy of Art but eventually made his way back home to Denver, Colorado. His work has been featured in Communication Arts, 3x3 magazine, been on the cover of HOW Magazine, and been honored by the Alliance of Illustrators and the Art Directors Club.
