Author Biography

Donald "Scribe" Ross is a Kansas City-based artist and vinyl toy designer with a national following in the graffiti and street art world. For over a decade, he has also served as the artist in residence at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri — the only position of its kind in the country. Scribe's friendly characters welcome, amuse, and entertain the hospital's young patients in its ambulances, waiting rooms, examination rooms, operating theaters, hallways, lobbies, and more—helping to make Children's Mercy a more fun, less scary place to visit.
