Summary

Newtown Township, more commonly known today as Newtown Square, is the oldest township in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. While Newtown was mostly farmland until the mid-20th century, it has developed significantly since World War II. Over 100 historic homes and buildings remain along Newtown’s four-lane highways, country roads, and neighborhoods.
