Jelly Roll Morton, (the famous jazz musician) once said "She was the only woman I ever truly loved". The woman's name was Anita Gonzales, aka The Cuban Queen. This is the true story of the attractive but devious Madam who began her career in the early 1900's in the Red-Light District of Storyville, New Orleans. Constantly on the move, she operated the Arcade Saloon in the pioneer town of Las Vegas, Nevada, and then a jazz club in San Francisco, California. During the Roaring Twenties, she owned and operated The Cuban Queen Bordello in the rich mining town of Jerome, Arizona. Much went on behind her closed doors where baking powder biscuits, bootlegged whiskey, prostitution, gambling, and even murder were on the menu. In 1927, with the Ku Klux Klan hot on her trail, she and her handsome accomplice kidnapped a small boy and slipped out of town, never to be heard from again.... until now.
