Why Do You Call Me Mom? : The Experience of an Alzheimer's Patient's Caregiver

This is a book taken from a two-year journal of the daily experiences that I encountered while caring for my eighty-five-year-old mother with Alzheimer’s disease. It soon became my main aspiration to ensure that my mother kept the dignity that my family and I knew she deserved. Most of the book contains stories from the later stages of Alzheimer’s. We had many good days with laughter and many colorful, yet challenging, days helping me to understand actions, behaviors, and the effect that Alzheimer’s has on a person. This book contains many lessons that I have gained while caring for my mother.
