Kathleen Thorne-Thomsen is a graphic designer who studied with Shaker historian Elmer Ray Pearson at Chicago's Institute of Design. She is the author of six other books on subjects including American crafts, cooking, architecture, and the Shakers. Her book Frank Lloyd Wright for Kids recently received a Parents' Choice award. She lives with her family in Southern California. Paul Rocheleau is a photographer who lives just outside the Hancock Shaker Village in Massachusetts. His work has been published in several architecture and design books. This is his first book for children.
