Author Biography

Joseph M. Juran was the international thought leader in the quality management field for more than 70 years and is considered the father of modern day quality management. He named the universal concept of the “vital few and the useful many" as the Pareto Principle, which we know today as the 80-20 rule. As an original member of the Board of Overseers, Dr. Juran helped to create the U.S. Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award and received over 50 medals and awards from 14 countries. He was the founder of the Juran Institute, Inc. and the author of more than 20 books.

Joseph A. De Feo is recognized as the current generation thought leader, researcher, author, and consultant in the management of quality. For over 20 years he was a trainer, consultant, executive coach, and is now president of the Juran Institute and the successor to Dr. Juran. De Feo has co-authored two books and over one hundred publications. He is often recognized as a business-focused quality executive. De Feo's relentless pursuit of improving helping organizations improve quality for the benefit of society has made him highly rated public speaker in many countries around the globe.
