New Aspects in the Diagnosis and Treatment of Hodgkin's Disease

This work contains recent results of basic and clinical studies in Hodgkin's disease up to early 1988. It deals with tumor immunological, genetical and molecular biological findings obtained from Hodgkin's derived cell lines and biopsies of lymphomas in Hodgkin's disease. New aspects concerning the histopathology of Hodgkin's disease are also described. In the clinical section recent developments in diagnosis such as immunoscintigraphy with monoclonal antibodies and bone marrow scintigraphy are dealt with, as are new therapeutic approaches that take into account the relevance of risk factor analysis for therapeutic strategies. Finally, new therapeutic avenues such as bone marrow transplantation are covered in detail.
