Summary

These essays are by mothers who struggle to balance their family obligations with creative drive, but prove in the end that having a child isn't the end of creativity, but another beginning. Mamaphonic is an anthology about mothering and the creative process. The book includes confessions and conversations about true, exhilarating, entertaining and difficult aspects of remaining creative while raising children. A smart, sexy, alternately funny and heartbreaking look at balancing art and motherhood, told in the artists' own words.
