The book of Revelation becomes more relevant every day, yet many avoid its pages due to the cryptic content. Being the only book of the Bible that promises a blessing to the one who reads and understands the message, one can surmise that the Author meant for the text to be grasped. Since it is a tactical and strategic plan, God saw fit to code it with idioms and synoptic phrases that will lead the reader to discover detail through events and prophesies found in the Old Testament. Like the parables, these coded messages were designed to blind the scoffer, yet enlighten the seeker.
