Sirotkin is a lawyer and human rights activist who has been at the center of legal battles over workers’ rights, the anti-nuclear arms industry protest, Central American amnesty for refugees fleeing US backed oppression as well as serving as an international observer at South Africa’s first free elections in the post-apartheid period and a legal advisor to the South Africa Truth and Reconciliation Commission. Sirotkin has been a participant in world changing social movements. Eric Sirotkin is an internationally renowned human rights lawyer and peacemaker and founder of the Ubuntuworks Peace Education Project. He served as an international observer to the first free elections in South Africa and as a legal advisor to the that nation’s Truth and Reconciliation Commission. He lives in Ashland, OR.
