Perfect for Montessori educators and administrators of all kinds, Montessori in  Action will support educators in taking action! This book provides structures, tools and timetables  to strengthen and improve schools. It will also earn a place in the libraries of the parents of Montessori children who desire to create and maintain an equitable environment that benefits all students, regardless of their background.

Author Biography

Elizabeth Slade is an author and educator who has worked in Montessori education for the past thirty-five years and is inspired by Montessori’s unique approach geared towards reaching all learners. Following many years of teaching Montessori in the private sector, Elizabeth worked in Springfield Public Schools in Massachusetts and Hartford Public Schools in Connecticut to strengthen Montessori in the public sector. That experience serving a wider population led Elizabeth to   work at the National Center for Montessori in the Public Sector. She spent six years at the National Center before branching out to form Public Montessori in Action, an organization created to ensure fully implemented Montessori for children, families and educators of the global majority.  Through her work, she collaborated with educators and leaders in over 50 schools across the nation to understand what is needed to support strong implementation of Montessori. Montessori in Action holds an approach to Montessori implementation, born out of Elizabeth’s experience working in and with Montessori programs, that will allow schools to be resilient and lasting in order to serve their communities.
