Author Biography

Juliet Gardiner is a historian and broadcaster and has taught at the University of London and Middlesex University. A former editor of History Today magazine, she is also the author of The Blitz: The British Under Attack, The Thirties: An Intimate History of Britain, and Wartime: Britain 1939-1945. She was historical consultant for Channel Four's series The 1940s House and The Edwardian Country House, and wrote the accompanying books.
