Author Biography

Dr. Donald J. Bowersox PhD is a University Distinguished Professor and Dean Emeritus of The Eli Broad Graduate School of Management at Michigan State University. Don retired last year from full time teaching after 40 years. He is author or co-author of seventeen books with fourteen foreign language translations. He was a co-author of the first logistics textbook published in 1961. He has authored over 250 articles on marketing, transportation, logistics and supply chain management. Nicholas J. LaHowchic retired this year after 40 years of executive roles in leading and transforming organizations in the retail, healthcare and consumer products industries. His last position was Executive Vice President, Limited Brands, Inc. and CEO, Limited Logistics Services, Inc., a subsidiary of Limited Brands, Inc. A recipient of the Salzberg Leadership Award from Syracuse University, he has numerous times been named one of the logistics industry's top executives.
