THE UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSEE GLOBAL SUPPLY CHAIN INSTITUTE (Knoxville, TN) coordinates the University of Tennessee’s broad spectrum of supply chain offerings, fulfilling industry’s need for global supply chain information and best practices through executive education, industry forums, research initiatives, custom programs, global partnerships, corporate audits, and more. THEODORE P. (TED) STANK (Knoxville, TN) is Harry and Vivienne Bruce Chair of Excellence in Business in the Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management. University of Tennessee at Knoxville. He spent nearly six years as Department Head for Marketing and Logistics, Associate Dean for Academic Programs, and Associate Dean of the Center for Executive Education. He has consulted and taught executives for 50+ organizations, including IBM, Walmart, and the U.S. Marine Corps. He is Treasurer/Secretary for the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP). J. PAUL DITTMANN (Knoxville, TN), Executive Director of The Global Supply Chain Institute (GSCI), also teaches supply chain courses and lectures in the University of Tennessee’s executive education programs. Through 32 years in industry, he has held multiple senior executive positions in Fortune® 150 organizations, including VP, Logistics for North America; VP Global Logistics Systems; and most recently, VP, Supply Chain Strategy, Projects, and Systems for Whirlpool. MICHAEL H. BURNETTE (Knoxville, TN), Associate Director of GSCI, spent 33 years as a supply chain executive at Procter and Gamble. He was P&G Global Supply Chain Leader for Skin Care (owning the $2B Olay brand) and P&G Global Leader for Hair Care (owning the $4B Pantene and Herbal Essence Brands). CHAD W. AUTRY (Knoxville, TN) is William J. Taylor Professor of Supply Chain Management at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, and Editor in Chief, Journal of Supply Chain Management. He has worked on supply chain process improvement with and for organizations including American Airlines, IBM, Goodwill Industries, the American Red Cross, the U.S. Air Force, and the U.S. Marine Corps. A member of CSCMP’s Education Strategies Committee, his research focuses primarily on supply chain network design. He co-authored Global Macrotrends and Their Impact on Supply Chain Management.
