Author Biography

Janet K. Ruffing, RSM, is professor in the practice of spirituality and ministerial leadership at Yale Divinity School in New Haven, Connecticut, and has trained and supervised spiritual directors for twenty-five years. The author of more than a dozen articles on spiritual direction and supervision, she has presented workshops for spiritual directors throughout the world, from the United States and Canada to Thailand, the Philippines, Korea, Hong Kong, Australia, and New Zealand. Dr. Ruffing is one of the founders of Spiritual Directors International and was the recipient of Washington Theological Union's Holy Wisdom Award in 2003.
