Author Biography

Folker Hanusch is a former journalist and now Senior Research Fellow in Journalism at Queensland University of Technology, Australia. He has published widely in the area of comparative journalism studies, journalism culture, lifestyle journalism, Indigenous journalism, and journalism and suffering.
 
Elfriede Fürsich is Research Associate Professor of Communication at Boston College, USA. Her research and teaching focus on issues of globalization, mobility, media criticism and popular culture.
