Summary

The Bloomberg Visual Guide to Chart Patterns will be a guide to technical chart patterns for traders and investors. The style will be light in tone and oriented to the investor or trader already familiar with the stock market, but not necessarily chart patterns. The book begins with an introduction to chart patterns, including the basic terms used when discussing chart patterns. Following that, tutorials on how to identify chart patterns begin. Since many investors and traders struggle with identification, several charts per pattern will be used along with quizzes to test their knowledge. After the tutorials come the trading setups and tips. No book includes trading setups displayed the way the Visual Series will. Samples trades highlighting the setups and more quizzes complete the package.

Author Biography

Thomas N. Bulkowski is the author of Encyclopedia of Chart Patterns, Second Edition, Getting Started in Chart Patterns, Encyclopedia of Candlestick Charts, and Trading Classic Chart Patterns. He is a frequent contributor to Active Trader and Technical Analysis of Stocks & Commodities magazines. Before earning enough from his investments to "retire" from his day job at age thirty-six, he was a hardware design engineer at Raytheon and a senior software engineer for Tandy Corporation.
