Author Biography

Thich Nhat Hanh fue un maestro zen vietnamita y uno de los maestros espirituales más importantes de nuestros tiempos. Exiliado de Vietnam en 1966 por promover la paz, sus enseñanzas sobre el budismo como vía para la transformación social y política son las responsables de que el movimiento de la plena conciencia –o mindfulness– haya llegado a la cultura occidental. Estableció en Francia la comunidad internacional de Plum Village. Ha publicado más de cien libros, muchos de ellos traducidos por Kairós.

Thich Nhat Hanh was a Vietnamese Zen master and one of the most important spiritual teachers of our time. Exiled from Vietnam in 1966 for promoting peace, his teachings on Buddhism as a path to social and political transformation are responsible for the mindfulness movement reaching Western culture. He established the international Plum Village community in France. He has published more than 100 books, many of them translated by Kairós.
