Author Biography

Manzoor Alam, Ph.D. earned his doctorate from Edinburgh University in Scotland and is a distinguished social scientist who retired as Vice-Chancellor (President) of the University of Kashmir, India. Prior to that he was Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and a Founder-Director for the Centre for Area Studies, Indian Ocean Region, as well as former professor and Head of the Department of Geography at Osmania University in India. He also held visiting professorships at the Universities of Massey in New Zealand, and Macquarie in Australia. A scholarly author and editor with numerous credits, Dr. Alam is now a U.S. citizen who currently resides in New Jersey, where his interests including global warming, new astronomical findings, geopolitics, and natural disasters.
