Author Biography

Stephen Phipps and Judy Liedtke bring a diverse background of outdoor experience to this book enabling them to write a unique and new approach to simplifying the ski learning experience. Phipps spent six years as a competitive freestyle skier, later embarking on a sponsored extreme skiing career - during which he set the record for the steepest backcountry descent in North America. After retiring from competitive skiing, he became a freestyle ski team coach. Liedtke is an avid downhill and backcountry skier, and mountain climber who has participated in International skiing and climbing expeditions
