Author Biography

Princess MSrtha Louise created this tale based on the childhood of her grandfather, King Olav V. She is a highly respedted storyteller, and has done readings for children throughout Norway, and has hosted television shows reading fairy tales. Princess MSrtha Louise studied English literature at Oxford and obtained certification as a Physical Therapist, specializing in the Rosen Method. She advocates for disabled children and manages her own bisiness as a cultural mediator. She recently released a CD with the highly acclaimed Oslo Gospel Choir, and as an avid horse lover has produced a television series about horses. Illustrator Svein Nyhus graduated from the National College of Art and Design in Oslo, Norway. He has received several national prizes for his work as an illustrator and writer of books for children, among them the Picture Book Prize from the Norwegian Ministry of Culture, and the School Librarians' Book Prize in 2000. He has been nominated for the coveted internatiional Hans Christian Andersen Award.
