Summary

Life is a vast ocean, and sometimes you need encouragement from beautifully painted aquatic creatures to help you stay afloat.

Wisdom from the Waters is an easily digestible, charming collection of inspiration and breezy, bright watercolors. Author Jake Townsend imagines what our friends in the oceans, lakes, and streams would tell us if only we could speak the same language: an octopus urges us to look for help when our hands are full, a crustacean reassures us that everyone gets a little crabby (just don't make a habit of it!), and an orca challenges us to spread our fins. Wisdom from the Waters is a source of warm encouragement and a lovely way to show someone you care.

Author Biography

When Jake Townsend isn't soaking up the sun at the beach he's busy working as the lifestyle editor at Invictus Magazine, teaching public diplomacy at the University of Southern California, or advising government and business leaders. He is also the author, co-author, or ghostwriter of thirteen books on a wide variety of subjects. Townsend currently resides in a sleepy seaside town called Los Angeles.
