Throughout 175 years, Cunard has been instrumental in creating the American dream, transporting millions of immigrants to the new world. During both world wars, the Cunard ships answered the call of duty and transported thousands of troops to fight on the sides of the allies. After the Great Depression, Cunard merged with the famous White Star Line to form Cunard-White Star. Cunard’s QE2 was a much-beloved liner and the most famous ship at sea, sailing more than 2.5 million miles during a 40-year career.
