Denver, Boulder, and the surrounding region in Colorado offer an amazing natural panorama for outdoors enthusiasts and contain some of the best hiking in the world. With such a bewildering wealth of hikes at your disposal, author Kim Lipker presents the reader with a variety of the very best trails in the area, most within an hour's drive or less. Including hikes near Fort Collins, Boulder, and Colorado Springs, 60 Hikes Within 60 Miles: Denver and Boulder is the only guidebook that pinpoints great hikes that are also close to home.

Author Biography

Colorado resident Kim Lipker is the author of four Menasha Ridge titles: 60 Hikes Within 60 Miles: Denver and Boulder; Best Tent Camping: Colorado (with Johnny Molloy); Day & Overnight Hikes: Rocky Mountain National Park; and Smart & Savvy Hiking: What Every Woman Needs to Know on the Trail. She also writes a regular parenting column and other features for Rocky Mountain Parent Magazine, and she contributes features, ratings, and reviews for Away.com, covering parks, active sports, and outdoor adventures in the Rocky Mountains and Hawaii.

Considered an expert on the Rocky Mountains by her guidebook peers, Kim has been at the writing thing for awhile, having had her first news article published at age 12 and later earning a journalism degree from the University of Missouri–Columbia.

Kim lives in Fort Collins, Colorado, with her three children, Anna, Alex, and Emma.
