Author Biography

Photographer Michael Collopy has gained recognition for his commissioned portraits of hundreds of public figures. His pictures have been published throughout the world in numerous books, magazines, and newspapers, as well as on many record and CD covers. In 1996, Collopy released Works of Love Are Works of Peace with the cooperation of Mother Teresa. This critically acclaimed fifteen-year photographic documentary profiled the work of her Missionaries of Charity. Michael and his wife, Alma (a photographer from Mexico City), live in the San Francisco Bay Area with their sons, Sean and Paul
