Author Biography

Tal S. David, MD practices Orthopedic Sports Medicine in San Diego, California. He is a Clinical Instructor of Orthopedic Sports Medicine in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery, University of California, San Diego.  

Dr. David serves as team physician for various local, collegiate and professional sports teams and is currently an NFL team physician.    

He is a member of the Board of Editors of the peer-reviewed journal, Orthopedics, and has published and lectured extensively on various topics in sports medicine.   

James R. Andrews, MD is a founding partner of Andrews Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Center and Medical Director of the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Alabama. He is also Medical Director of the Andrews Institute in Gulf Breeze, Florida.   

He is Clinical Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Alabama Medical School, the University of Virginia School of Medicine, the University of Kentucky Medical Center, and the University of South Carolina Medical School.    

Dr. Andrews is internationally recognized for his scientific and clinical research contributions in knee, shoulder, and elbow injuries and has trained more than 250 orthopaedic/sports medicine fellows and more than 45 primary care sports medicine fellows.
