Author Biography

Shankar Acharya is the author of India's Economy: Some Issues and Answers and an international consultant. He was chief economic adviser to the Government of India from 1993–2000 and served on the Securities and Exchange Board of India. He is a regular contributor to Business Standard and an honorary professor and board member of the Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations (ICRIER).
