Author Biography

Nancy H. Hornberger is Professor of Education and Director of Educational Linguistics at the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education, USA. She investigates, teachers, and consults on multilingual language education policy and practice worldwide from an anthropological and sociolinguistic perspective. Her recent publications include Continua of Biliteracy (2003) and the Encyclopedia of Language and Education (2008).
