Summary

The only riders remaining on the course were Ivan Basso of Team CSC, T-Mobile's Jan Ullrich, and Armstrong. I alternately watched their performances on yet another bank of flat screens and monitored their progress by the location of the helicopters filming each rider from above. They were still far in the distance, but little by little, the helicopters neared the finish line.
