Author Biography

Phillip Katcher, an expert on the American Civil War, has written a number of books on the Confederate and Union armies and the battles and campaigns of the period 1861–1865, including Great Gambles of the Civil War, Lincoln’s Unsung Heroes, Lethal Glory: Dramatic Defeats of the Civil War, American Civil War Armies, and the American Civil War Source Book. He lives in Devon, Pennsylvania.
