Author Biography

Dr. Christina S. Beck (Ph.D., University of Oklahoma, 1992) is Professor at Ohio University in the School of Communication Studies. She is the author of two award-winning books on health communication—Communicating for Better Health (2001) and Partnership for Health (with Sandra Ragan and Athena duPre) (1997), as well as a co-editor of two other books. She has also authored or co-authored numerous journals articles and book chapters, primarily in the areas of health communication and mass communication. In addition to serving as editor of Communication Yearbook, she also contributes as book review editor for Journal of Health Communication: International Perspectives.
