Irene Aparici is an award-winning author whose book about cancer Mom Goes to War has won several prizes (Second Most Inspirational Children's Picture Book, Best Educational Children's Picture Book and Best Children's Fiction Picture Book in English) at the 2013 International Latino Book Awards.

Enrique Quevedo is an award-winning illustrator. His books include The Great Magician of the World (for which he won the Gold Medal for Best Illustrator at the 2012 Moonbeam Children's Book Awards) and Fairground Lights (Best Spanish Language Picture Book at the 2013 Moonbeam Children's Book Awards).
