In this booklet, readers are shown how a healthy lifestyle, practicing good oral hygiene, and adding xylitol--a sugar alcohol sweetener used as a naturally occurring sugar substitute and found in the fibers of many fruits and vegetables--can help dental health. From the viewpoint that the health of the tissues in the mouth is indicative of the health of the systems and organs throughout the entire body, the steps outlined in this book provide an effective dental health program that not only helps a dazzling smile, but also helps people look and feel healthier.
