Author Biography

Maggie Jackson is an award-winning author and journalist who writes the popular "Balancing Acts" column in the Boston Globe. She has been interviewed on National Public Radio for Distracted, which has also been highlighted in the New York Times, Wired, Prevention, Vanity Fair, and the Wall Street journal, among other national publications. Jackson was also featured at the Conference Board's 2009 Women's Leadership conference, and the 2008 Information Overload Research Group conference; she and her work have been referenced in countless blogs and articles related to attention, multitasking, and the intrusion of technology in our lives. Her acclaimed first book, What's Happening to Home? Balancing Work, Life, and Refuge in the Information Age, examined the loss of home as a refuge.
