Author Biography

David Pickell is the author of Between the Tides, an exploration of the life and culture of the traditional tribesmen of Indonesian New GuineaÆs South Coast. He is a writer, editor, and cartographer, and has been diving for 29 years. He lives in Berkeley, California.

Wally Siagian is one of IndonesiaÆs sport diving pioneers. He first dove Bali in the 1970s and his long-term knowledge of the islandÆs reefs is unmatched by anyone working today.
