This book explores these migrations and diasporas, and examines the nature of the associated cosmopolitanism. It examines issues of identity encountered by migrants, considers the difficulties faced by minorities in being accepted and integrated, and compares East European migration, diasporas and cosmopolitanism with the situation in other parts of the world.
