Extending Shadows is a mystery/thriller about Mitchell Simmons, a young sergeant who hitchhiked to Longview, TX, to visit an army buddy who once saved his life. A pretty girl stopped, and while they were talking, a gorgeous blond in a red Ferrari takes his cowboy boot from atop his duffle bag. What Simmons does not know is that one is his buddy's sister and the other his wealthy fiancée — and that his buddy is dead. People try to convince him he committed suicide, but Simmons knows better. They had seen so much death in Afghanistan, and his buddy hated dead bodies. If he were going to kill himself, it would be where his body would never be found.
