Author Biography

Dr. Herstine Wright, a Chicagoan, is a woman who loves God and has a heart for God’s people.  A passion for Outreach Ministry (street evangelism) and serving the poor,  she witnesses and leads many souls to the LORD.  She is a teacher of the Word of God; and she serves as ‘guest teacher’ for many ministries, inspiring the people of God to get into His Presence.  She served as a volunteer weekly in a Long-Term Care Unit at a hospital in the community of Oak Forest, Illinois for many, many years encouraging the sick and afflicted.  She is currently the co-founder and organizer of the Operation PUT IT BACK! Coalition, formed in 2005 to change a generation and to advocate the safety of children in public schools.  Dr. Wright is a retired community college educator. Because of her community involvement, she was awarded the M3:16 Excellence Award for 2016 and profiled in the December 2015 issue.  She has served as an Honorary Vice-Chair of  State of Black Chicago Congress.  She has also received an Honorable Recognition Declaration (Resolution) from Alderman Carrie A. Austin in the Chicago City Council.
