Author Biography

Stephen Tharrett, M.S., is a management consultant and public speaker in the health/fitness club industry, providing club owners with an extensive array of services that include strategic planning, business, planning, employee development, marketing and facility and design. Prior to entering the consulting field, Stephen spent over 20 years working with ClubCorp, a billion-dollar Texas-based company that owned and operated private clubs, including business clubs, country clubs, and resorts and sports clubs.James A. Peterson, Ph.D., FACSM, is a fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine. He was a faculty member at the United States Military Academy at West Point from 1971-1990. From 1990 to 1995, he served as the director of sports medicine for StairMaster Sports/Medical Products, Inc. He has written or co-authored over 80 books and 200 articles on a variety of sports, health, and wellness topics.
