Author Biography

Alistair Horne is one of the foremost authorities on French history. He received a knighthood in 2003 and was made a Chevalier of the French Legion d'Honneur in 1993. He is the prize-winning author of some 20 books, including A Savage War of Peace: Algeria l954-62, and La Belle France; A Short History.
