Author Biography

Ariella Azoulay teaches political philosophy and visual studies. She is the author of nine previous books including The Civil Contract of photography (2008) and Civil Imagination: A Political Ontology of photography(2012). She won the 2002 Infinity Award for Writing, presented by the International Center for photography for excellence in the field of photography.
