Author Biography

Since her first venture into La Baja more than twenty years ago—two late-night hours in Tijuana, with predictable consequences—Valerie Hamilton has refined her travel tastes considerably. Down the peninsula and through the years, she’s traded tequila shots for chocolata clams and that wet t-shirt for a full wetsuit, but she still hasn’t found anything that beats a great fish taco. A news journalist and author of 17 travel guides to Mexico, the US, and Italy, she lives in Mexico City.
