Author Biography

Dardis McNamee is Editor in Chief of the English-language monthly, The Vienna Review and on the research faculty in Media Communications at Webster University Vienna. In her long career in journalism she has been a correspondent for, among others, The New York Times and Conde Nast Traveler in New York, and for the Wall Street Journal Europe and Die Zeit in Vienna, as well as a speech writer to two US ambassadors to Austria. She has lived in Vienna for 15 years.

Maggie Childs is a journalist and travel writer for publications such as Condé Nast Traveller US, The Vienna Review, Gig Magazine, and various in-flight magazines. She has lived in Vienna for 14 years and also works for the Vienna bureau of the Associated Press. She is also the author of the Austria Chapter of Europe For Dummies and the Co-Author of Frommer’s Austria.
