Author Biography

Dr. William Ackerman is an anesthesiologist and pain medicine physician. Nominated for the highly prestigious Bristol-Myers Squibb Award for Distinguished Achievement in Pain Research, he serves on the editorial board of The Journal of the Arkansas Medical Society. He has a private practice where he focuses on gender-specific issues related to pain management.
Hollye Acker is the communications director of the Arkansas Medical Society, where she also serves as editor of The Journal of the Arkansas Medical Society.
